Sources, for every artist
- setlist.fm — the backbone of every archive here, supplying each performance with its venue, city and coordinates, via their API. Used under a free API key, which is licensed for non-commercial use only. This site is non-commercial and carries no advertising.
- Natural Earth — country outlines, public domain.
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap contributors — coordinates for eight small places no other source had, under ODbL.
Anything about one artist
What feeds a single archive — a Wikipedia article, an official tour archive, the photographer of that page’s share card — is listed on that artist’s own page, at the foot of the details panel beside the globe, together with what those sources cannot say. Not every archive is built from the same things, and the difference belongs next to the map it affects rather than in a list here that grows with every artist added.
One note that is not per-artist: the card for the site itself reuses the Eras Tour photograph by Stephen Mease on Unsplash, so a link to the home page shows one of the artists rather than none. That stands until there is a neutral photograph to replace it.
And one obligation that is not per-artist: some share cards are cropped from photographs published under a Creative Commons ShareAlike licence. Each of those cards is itself available under the same licence as its source photograph — the photographer, the licence and a link to the original are on that artist’s own page, beside the globe.
